That's the idea i have from them.
Did anyone tried changing some colors and see the results?
paintshop only lets me save .pal files but I think Photoshop can open .act paletes.
anyway, even if we could change the colors of some stuff ( like for example, hair or a hat) wouldn't that only affect us?
we would be the only ones to see the difference, right? because everyone else would mantain the original palettes (kinda like the maps situation).

.act files are action files...they control the sprite animations, and for a couple they seem to alter the palette (Ghoul, for example, is identical to a Zombie until you get into the game)

You can also change the visible names of items, such as I have done here..

| The .spr files contain all of the graphics, they also contain one palette. But it is possible that the action files can provide a new palette to change the sprite... don't know. |
