just read the latest news, sorry to hear that things have piled up on you like that, but...well I don't know what to say, I mean I do want you to be able to raise up and not letting them win, but at the same time, i have to respect your wishes... so.. I don't know, can only hope that things will turn out for the better. *sigh*

I think that if she stopped now she wouldn't be giving up but just re-prioritizing things ne? ^^ The programs that have been created are Sugoi, and if more are on the way then even better, but if not, at least she's made a difference already, and the rest of us can keep doing our best whatever that may be. If working on programs for RO is going to make RO unenjoyable for Sasami then I wouldn't want her to keep making them, but if she can step back from everything for a while and just enjoy herself then that's great too b/c from what I've seen she's a great person, and I'd rather have a great person than a frustrated one who is forcing themselves to keep working on progs. Just my humble opinion.

I agree Jaide, she doesn't have to do it if she doesn't enjoy it, it is after all her life, well guess the only thing we can do is to make RO more enjoyable in what ever way we can.

Gee, way to go Gravity. Yeah, lie to the fanbase, real good way to make us want to stick around for final. Anyway, sorry to hear about what happened, I didn't read the posts on pak0 and I most likely won't, I stopped going there when they started deleting posts that had anything bad about RO or Gravity even if it was true (like Tang Ming Qu's post). But I know how lame people can be sometimes and I know I sure as hell wouldn't want to stick around someplace where I caught flak from something that wasn't my fault.
So yeah, it's your life, your choice, and there's no point sticking around if you don't enjoy it or if it's becoming a hassle. Take a break for a while, wait for final, or just quit entirely.....nobody's going to complain about it, except maybe the selfish people that'd say something like "NO! YUO CAN'T LAEVE! I WNAT TEH PROGRAMZ!", but since when did their opinions matter? |

hah, some people are just plain ignorant, you shouldn't let yourself down because of them Sasami, if you're going to listen to someone let it be someone you really trust and is important ( like your close friends or your fiance).....

yea.. don't listen to strangers I learn a long time ago not to worry about what some stranger might say (at least people with no "credibilities") especially if they don't know any better or not relate in your fields at all
example: if you are going to apply for say... Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) of course you would listen to the people who work there.. the hiring manager.. and the George lucas cause they relate.. but if some schmo down the street who have no relation to that field says your stuff sucks... why listen? it just give you negative energy and lower your moral
listen to your close friends and your peers... I would not consider most of these players my peer.. unless they gain my respect and I have given respect in return
lots of people on the board is just hating.. cause they cannot get their own way.. some may be new to the MMORPG world.. some plays for years.. why do you want to listen to someone who doesn't even program? or is just plain jealous of your work and status...
you made great programs Sasami.. and you have a good following we respect you because of that.. and hope that you would join us in RO world sometimes.. (at least return to..) cause you are a good person who give yourself to the community..
granted... in this overall community you have slanders, cheaters, hackers, dupers, kill stealers, and looters... just like in life.. I just leave them behind and don't even think about them. I have people in class who does not like me because I make good grades and study hard... and there are some who work with me to get better grades... why should I listen to the people in that class who just want to slander me and bring me down.. I just don't help them in return and help the people who support me
I can almost safely say that people on this board support you one form or another and don't lose hope.. keep going and do what you enjoy with your friends and your peers This is a virtual community.. you can take their criticism with a grain of salt.. but I'm betting they are using your software anyways... but they just complain cause they cannot do any better...

Yeah, I always crash makotos character, or make it dissapear into nothingness or randomly exploded first, before i test on anyone else
