how far can u possibly rollback sasami?
and if u dont mind me asking is the bug a client or a packet edit?
im gonna go look for another thing to hack at...
(nver mind i found it) it even rolled me back to my novice location. arrghh. i lost ALL my points!!!

it seems that i can only go back so far. past lvl 27 it doesn't work for me any more
also xx xx dd ( dd can only go up to 00-02?) past those i get disconnected

i failed at the spregen value thing. turns out to be server side only. even though i froze the memory location and the sp value, the client still told me not enough sp when i ran out.
i guess it works this way. ro client sends out packet containing spell and monster id, server spits back out ur new sp value, how much damage u did, and or if u don't have enough sp.
hopefully im wrong and there's another memory location that holds the sp value

heh...just from what you posted, I can give myself infinate SP....well, theoretically, since I don't have a packet sender that works, lol...

no no...
sp regen is done server side. no matter what you do with the client, the ur true sp is still on the server.
even if u intercepted the incoming packets still wouldn't work.

sorry about posting the info. just thought i could share here since its the reversing discussion. share more learn more metality...but yeah u do have a point of people just taking hacks and just abusing it way out of hand without even trying to understand how it works or finding it for themselves.

just use the filters and offset to watever values u want

Doesn't work on XP, only catches sent packets, and won't modify them...Iris works, but I can't send packets with the evaluation version.

Hmm...I think I found the problem. I'm working through a gateway (on a router), and the IP address that's put in the source IP is my network (local) IP, not the actual IP. This is the only explanation I can think of...I tried ether too, and everything else works, but it just won't send...I'll have to look into this, in the mean time, any suggestions?
