hehe, yeah, sorry, had to call the title that 
but anyways, go here. If anyone can get past level 8 w/o cheating, I will be throughly impressed, that's the one that stumped me  had to look it up on the internet to figure it out. |

I solved these some time ago:
Level 8:
- View the source of Level-8.html
- Look at this line <FORM ACTION="cgi-bin/phf.cgi" METHOD="POST">
- If you search for phf.cgi in a search-engine you can see that the cgi-script has vulnerabilities
- Go to this url: http://www.try2hack.nl/cgi-bin/phf.cgi?Qalias=x%0a/bin/cat%20/etc/passwd
- Now you can see this: BuiZe:Bu3kOx4cCMX2U
- Copy BuiZe:Bu3kOx4cCMX2U in try.txt
- Download "John the Ripper -- Password Cracker"
- Run "john.exe try.txt"
- Wait a few minutes, i got the password after 04:27 mins
(Btw, i figured them all out myself)

Hrm...I did these a while ago. Never got past level 5 because I didn't feel like downloading decrypters and whatnot. Or whatever you needed. ^^ I had fun doing them though.

hmm... that looks fun...
ah, ok, got as far as 5 now... dammit, that wasn't very nice of them for it not to just be those plaintext vars, now I need to find a vb decompiler... I'm feeling too lazy to try tracing the asm. Maybe I'll go back to killing orcs for a bit, then see what comes up on good old google.

John the ripper password cracker....... I just used the search engine on my com to find it with the search name : "password cracker"
I wonder why the second level is so hard

heh, i can get past lvl 1, looking in the source code not hard 
but im not going to get any further, lol, im no hacker
i want to be a programer, i MAKE the programs, not take them apart, heh
(and im also looking more for games programing, i want to do a bit of designing too, somthing a bit more creative ) |

I still can't figure out Level 2.lol
I used notepad... except I don't knwo the way of using it. I only viewed the source but that didn't help.
I'm struggling on 4.
