hmmm, interesting, my course is split up into various parts, but the Java part just teaches how to acctually program in Java, how to design it, then how to write it from scratch, compile and run it
dont remeber anything you mentioned, justa different type of course i spose  |

well..the first course was just to introduce the language, syntax, arrays, singly-linked lists... nodes... you're grade was based on lab exams, mid term, and final; basically you coudl get through the lab exams by copying and memorizing other's code... but in the second course...they actually compare your code to other code to check for plagarism... and the projects are much more complicated. one project we had to build the engine to work with the gui given to us, which was fun. no idea what to expect next quarter...

| i'm on lvl 2 i've looked at the source and found wut i belive to be the user name and password but for some reason i can't get it to go to next lvl. for instance i think the click button is disabled and enter button. I can't even get it to tell me if i'm wrong. Or is it just me experienceing this probelm |

the username and password are case sensitive, and they will be for a good number of levels...
the buttons are not disabled...

ahoy hoy@! my first post!
i have been lurking these forums for sometime now since i returned to RO. ro.pak0 forums seem to be gone, ro-world forums return, but all i see is hentai postings and spam there.
errrr, where can i get a vb 3 decompiler?  been looking around for one and just cant find one. if someone can please provide me with a link, i'd be really grateful.
now back to tracking down RO news....... |

welcome kup0. yea, pak0's been down for awhile now...
if u need the decompiler for level 5: go here
go to the vb3 link and try out their online identification utility. upload the file and they'll recognize it and link you to the source code they have posted, since many people have uploaded to them. usually they charge to decompile, but not for this ^^
here also has a vb3 decompiler. returns it in .vb3, so you'll need something to view it... hope that helps.
off topic: while looking for this, i ran across some forums, and i noticed that there were people asking for source codes to do functions that we were assigned to code for my math class. i just found that funny...

start button >> programs >> accesssories >> look for disk cleanup. it might be under system tools.
if you are specified to pick a drive (depending on OS), pick the one you think has it.
then highlight Temporary Internet Files, and click the View Files butotn below. Souuld take you too your cache. Most likely you'll see multiple folders with letters and/or numbers. just look into each one.
interesting thing is, i looked up the path to the folder. but when i manually go to it... the folders are different, and the contents too. weird...

well..if you need it for lvl 5, try the first link i put up in that post... that'll get you the source code for sure... if you want...i can PM you the source code... but the rest will be up to you...

I know nothing about java so L2 is too hard for me :/. Notepad doesn't seem to help. Actually I don't have a clue of what I am suposed to do with it.

well...u can "try" to open any file with any program.... just doesn't guarantee that it'll be readable or workable... don't just try notepad on .txt or .doc or .html... try other extensions. some of it may be scrambled characters... some might be readable... or even helpful

The use of a form on the final page has me stumped.
Having some limited experience with page design I have used forms
to capture feedback, but never as a password challenge.
It is way beyond me.....
