Has anyone looked into trying to purchase the Ring Pommel Sabre?
If you can, I see nothing wrong with selling it for exorbitant prices, as long as you send it to Gravity and me... I say me because if it's possible I will set up a few times where people can come and buy them from me at store price y'know? If you'd do it yourself that would be cool too.
Anyway, I've heard rumors that it is something client side that is busted with that NPC.

Lots of people knows how now. About 2 weeks ago I found someone in Izlude selling them for 200k... that's just stealing from them. So I buyed 20 and sit next to him and opened 20k RPS shop. (yeah i made some profits  ) I stopped selling them when price drop around 30k.
If you find or get packet don't use it to sell then at high price, just buy for you and your friend. |

just to weigh in... this is kind of one of those things that I tend to look at as basically ok, except for the slight unfairness issue to people who aren't able to do it themselves. Afterall, the RPS is supposed to be buyable in payon, unless that's just gravity taunting us

| oh the only reason its supose to be better is because of the weight... the attack is lower but the tsurugi is still better in stats |

being lower in wieght also means its faster btw, since weapon speed is based on the weapons wieght
and insante, did you check on choas or loki? or both?

heh, I don't even want to tell you how many ppl have tried telling me that's not true because the multicalc says so, lol I keep telling other swordies that if they don't have a literal ton of agi, they won't see the difference, but they keep insisting there just isn't one It's not as if it's an earth shattering difference either way, but I'll take a couple extra swings at full dmg over 5 extra atk any day
and insante, did you check on choas or loki? or both?
I've checked on loki, fwiw... it's in another thread where Sasami said something about it now actually being buyable without the hack, even, except it wasn't when I tried. If something has changed since then... although, I rather doubt that would be the case
hmm hmm... ah, there we go: a new NPC shop exploit. Hrm... I must have somehow missed Sasami and fig's replies... that sounds... odd... I'll have to go try it with something cheap, I guess.

what atributes do it have?
any +dex or +str....etc.

well..some people don't mind losing 5 dmg if it means being able to carry 30 more weight (tsu weighs 100) personally, i don't mind losing the ability to carry 3 pots, so i just stick with my tsu =)

That and some people make agi swordies concentrated on speed, and the difference in the speed between a rps and tsu actually becomes worthwhile for them (speed differences from weapons seem to magnify with more agi/dex based attack speed increase).
While I've liked them for my agi swordies ever since atk speed was introduced and they became actually available with the introduction of pirate skels, I still wouldn't say that everyone should go out and get one, or that they are better or worse than a tsu. They're simply different.
In the end, it's a personal thing... and partially there's the fact that they are (or were) effectively a rare, which can make it fashionable (even if it's not actually visible), like santa hats.
There are also questions about actual average damage (versus median damage, which is what the multicalc shows) in relation to weapon weight and str/dex, but that's edging into real speculation that doesn't have as many people looking at for evidence (partially because it doesn't show up much at low levels of the stats), so I won't get into that.

err, anyway... I have a report that I haven't taken the time to confirm that while patch 114 fixed it, patch 115 broke it again... so I have a backup of 114, I'll pop over to payon whenever I have time and try 115, then 114 if that doesn't work.

| From what I've seen, the main difference will be when level restrictions for equipment are implemented. The RPS will be usable at level 12, while the Tsu would take level 24 to use. |
