I noticed that no one ever uses an avatar or a signature on these forums...DO IT!!
I can't remember people's names, but I can always recognize an avatar.. =P
Oh, and is there a way to use url tags in signatures at all? I've tried using the , and . (what is above those two.... won't show in a msg) and the [ ] but it doesn't seem to work for linking. (maybe has to do with hacking protection?)
But I just wanted to bust this out 'cuz these forums are one of the best!

['url'] URL of page to link to ['url']
(except that the second 'url' is '/url' (and without the ' ), had to change it to make it display it)
from the FAQ 
you have to put the url inbetween the two bracketed bits, not acctually inside the first brackets
so http://www.castledragmire.com/ragnarok should work
eerm, except that i dont know WHAT you click on that that link links to...
maybe the 'should work' bit?...
EDIT: oh, lol, thats what it does
well, then use HTML code i spose so...
this should link to sasamis ragnarok hompage
im using <' a href="http://www.castledragmire.com/ragnarok" '> this to click on to link here <'a'> to do it (without the ' )

That's for my 'I want to believe' banner, so replace the img src with your link to your image, and the href with your link
Also, if you want to have a special font or something use
[font color=yourcolor face=yourfont]
in your header
then [/font] right at the start of your sig

hehe, i wonder how divine judgement does that
i dont know much about html code yet, but i wouldnt mind knowing
oh, and this is also a quick test on my header and sig stuff, this should be green bold writing
EDIT: oh, yeah, html is american, they spell colour color, heh
EDIT2: AH! it clashs badly! *takes it off*... and its not bold... :/
EDIT3: *realises he can experiment with headers etc just by editing, no need to clutter the board with extra posts *

Well, the only way you are gonna fit it in a signature space (there is a max of characters) using a java script is making it pick a random number, then call the picture using document.write at domainname.com/folder/#.ext
if you had more space, you could set each random # to a name, but with the limited space, you can't. Instead you can just call a cgi, let it pass the proper picture through it, and that way the person doesn't even know the original locations of the pictures.

I'll be honest... my reason is boring and dull 
I use the same avatar for every forum I go to, and I was too tired to make or cut again for a new one here, but it's done now, and nice and wonderful, don't ask about sigs... I'll get to it later
