| Everyone go on Ragnarok Its really messed up!! look at it all my characters are gone and theres like 800 people on each server and when you try to make a new one it says the name already exists!!! WHATS GOING ON!!?!?? |

*scratches my head* hate to say it, but uh.. that's a DoS attack, character server can be taken down any time I or someone else who knows how wants. (but i don't want to, so don't worry  ) |

LOL!!!!!!
I can take out the server by sending a packet with 65510 bytes of data. Just one packet. That takes out the server BECAUSE it can only take 65500 bytes of data at a time.

Man, I dunno why gravity doesn't hire you guys. You alone could pretty much keep RO from getting so crap. I'm assuming a lot of the lag is caused by people trying to screw rag up isn't it...  so.. .close.... to using ..... my Tsurugi again.... |

many people have offered their free services to gravity, but they won't take it. They don't have enough money to pay another employee because they are on the verge of bankruptcy right not. Not a very good situation, is it.
[edit] I don't know if this is real or not, but a friend passed it to me, I thought it was pretty interesting. Check this out. Notice it says July of 2001  . I ment to post this on the Ragnarok Downloads page, but never got around to it.

u sure that its a "DoS attack"? couldn't the char server just be down? or perhaps the code where it gets the chars from the database just messed up? could be anything at all from what i see..
