Well online gaming is like the real world u got your assholes and nice people. Its unrealistic to think their can be a purely happy environment with no jerk offs around. They will always exist, there's not much u can do about it but try and not let it get to u and just have your fun. Hackers and cheaters run rampant in everygame i think it'd be pretty hard to find a online game with a purely good atmosphere. I just try to not let those things get to me.
For example... this week i've probably been banned from 3 servers for cheating supposedly even though i clearly don't. I constantly get harrassed by n00bies... and the sad fact is it'll probably never change... so i just think when u play online games just do your own thing and have fun don't let the people around u ruin it. |

INF is a mod for Unreal Tournament and is similar CS, except I find INF is a lot more realistic and strategy driven, probably because the pace is a bit slower. I haven't touched INF for a really long time...I played it like 2 or 3 years ago (can't remember how long).
I wonder if Sasami would make a private CS server for us...?  |

Oh...If you're looking for a new game, I'd recommend Ghost Recon then...Game was way too slow for my taste.

| Infiltration is really in a category all it's own. you really hsould give it a try. It's got some cool features in it and it's quite addicitive. |

haha make a server for us?... there wouldn't be enough people to play on it anyways... and eventually you'd get asswipes coming in anyways... haha u can play on my clan's dead public server anytime though 209.223.113.197
ming... r u in a clan? i don't believe in 1 vs 1 i think to prove yourself as a player skill wise is in scrims. |

 I've totally gforgotten what this thread is about...
A good Halflife mod is Firearms - it isnt very realistic, and you spend a lot of time walking around, and they fiddle with it every time they make a new version - but it's good for ... well it's justa good mod.

HEH i LOVED firearms. all my friends hated it tho, but i liked the who war-game feel. CS was more like run to the other side and shoot everone who isnt wearing your uniform!

Yeah, but what if everyone on your team split up? And everyone on their team camped. Let's hope they have really bad aim. Looks like there is some strategy in CS, and lotsa luck.

Haven't seen that game in a long time. What number is the series up to now? I only remember one though, Roger Wilco with a plunger attacking a space alien...

A scrim is like a simulated match that clans do to practice.
I am talking about Roger Wilco the external program that lets you talk into the mic and everyone on your team can hear you (althogh I think CS has that built in... I heard about it somtime after I quit about a year ago.)

yup, cs has built in mic support now, but most people sound transgendered or young when they try to use it...

lol yes thats what I heard from my friends who are still into CS.
It really dosnt matter for me though, because
1.)I no longer play CS
2.)I gave my mic away, as I had no use for it.
also, I heard it gets really annoying when immature people just blabber into the mic or make stupid farting noises and think thier funny. Well for all who play CS, I hope there is a mute player button or command!

I'm not sure, but I think there is. When you hit tab, there's a speaker icon to the far right of each player. I click it, and it says you have muted/unmuted this player. I'm not really sure since I don't use the feature, instead relying on my 5 wpm typing speed to get my point across. I've been shot while typing out a "no one's here" message...

yea, there's support. i hafta hit tab and click the speaker to mute the annoying people that scream or say stupid things into the mic constantly. the concept is good, but most people are too lazy to set up their mic. i'm just too lazy to use it cuz i sound funny. whatever, i retired from CS last year... played too much

I retired last year also....
actually (hey and dont make fun of my for this...) friday the 11th of this month marks my last day playing CS one year ago.
heh yah, the way I knew that was I was looking at some old AIM log files (i use trillian and it logs all conversations)
