i installed the client and when it tries to download the patch from the server it says
"cannot connect to server" and it does nothng... what can i do??? please, help me...

Humm, It can't connect to the server...that means data can't come in, or data can't go out.
There are a few reasons...
1. Bad file. ReD/l the game. Chances are, if you're able to install it, then the file should be fine.
2. Can't find a path to the server. I have no idea, but you can use "ping" to see if you can see the server. I don't know the address though.
3. Firewall is preventing things from coming in or going out. Drop your firewall. If you can't, and you're using a notebook computer, go to a friend's house and see if you can d/l there.
