I read your post about the dungeon maps... what is your view on it?
I personally get lost on some of the new maps and have a print out to look at.. I personally think that the internal map like that is pretty nice... what is your take on it? can you help us to get that working??

hehe, i'll get you the last account back up and merge the two for you. I really don't know what to think about that map thing, on the one hand, it is giving the user a slight advantage over others that don't have it, i personall have memorized every dungeon. But on the other hand you can print out the maps and look at them, as you said, to help. The latter wouldn't seem to be cheating, but the first does for some reason, but it's not... i am talking in circles, i really have to think about this one first.

yea.. just merge it with this account 
I personally think it would be helpful.. I mean technically printing out can be cheating since I am more resourceful (by printing it out) than a person who have no idea where to get them (sure I'll tell them if they ask me)
so either way.. I guess it is a personal issue.. ^^; personally I would love to have the map on the screen.. it would save me some grief.. hehe..
btw.. no matter what people say.. I still use your EXP viewer cause it is one of the few things still keep me playing (at least I know how much to go and such) hehe

somebody on the ropak0 forums that u can alter the file in the data directory and just insert a bmp file...i dunno check the forums there and see what u can find..but if sasami could help us stupid people ::points to myself:: it would rock! btw great job ont he exp viewer cant wait for bot removal program

yea.. I saw the forum.. but the person would not actually say "how to do it"
I'm just a techno geek and not a programmer.. I'm afraid with my tinkering skill.. I probably end up killing my own program and character than getting that map program working hehe

I don't see a data folder.. I presume you are talking about the Data file right?

| this has nothing to do with programming... you make that folder yourself, put those files in it and change it to how you want to. |

wow, really Sasami? so you just create the folder and stick any .bmp in it and it will show that bmp in the top right when on the corresponding map? cool , these gravity programmers arnt THAT bad, at least they've made there game easyly editable (altho that does make it easyly hackerble  ) |

I tried it out and for once something I did actually works. There's just one area missing from that list I think ... bibalan caves. I would really appreciate it if you could give me the right name for that map.

So I just make a folder call data in the RO directory and then I have to go find the maps and name them wih that list.... neat
I know someone have the maps already made.. can someone please be so kind to point me to the right direction?

| If you get version 1.1 of the grf extracter from the download page and extract all of the .grf files into your ragnarok folder you can see all of your maps and everything else. Version 1.1 keeps all of the directory names. Don't use 1.0 or you'll end up with everything in the same directory. |

gef_fild01.bmp = Map Name
I got the grf extractor, except i dunno how to extract files from my rag folder and edit them O_o.I type in the location the file and location where i want it extracted and click extract and nothing happens. Hope it works with Windows XP
pls tell me how  thx
Also i still dunno how to get the exp viewer to run in full windo mode which shows the xxxx/xxx the % and the amount of xp i got. I Just patched it instead but i really want the full window version.
How do i get full window version to work?

you mean the external version? that runs in the seperate window, or the version that runs above and below the exp bars.
and make sure to have a trailing \ when declaring the proper extracting directory for the grf viewer. |
